Package: timidity Version: 2.13.2-40.5 Severity: normal Hi! The default sound font timidity pulls in and configures by default, freepats, is of abysmal quality and so incomplete I can't recall the last real-world .mid file I've seen that doesn't lack at least one instrument.
In the past, freepats used to be the only free sound font. This is long untrue, as we have: 34MB freepats 149MB fluid-soundfont-gm 3.3MB fluid-soundfont-gs 5.4MB timgm6mb-soundfont I'm personally using the last, timgm6mb-soundfont, and it works without a hitch. Thus, could you please ship a configuration that works out of the box?
