Simple to resolv. Edit /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server file and change RPCNFSDCOUNT variable like this : RPCNFSDCOUNT="8 --nfs-version 2" Save the file and restart nfs-kernel-server service. Check the value of cat /proc/fs/nfsd/versions.
