A GTk(2) using one? After removing -gtk2 do you have -gtk3 installed? Or "pure" LO UI? That said, works for me. Even with rene@frodo:~$ export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN="gtk" rene@frodo:~$ lowriter which forces gtk2. "Of course" I am still in my GNOME(3) environment on my amd64 laptop, but LO definitely picked up gtk2.
