Thanks for all your efforts, and it seems there's nothing I can do
right now, so just adding some information.

As for the stacktrace: I have corekeeper installed on my laptop, so
when perl segfaulted in cowbuilder, I got a coredump in /var/crash/1234/
and ran `gbp /usr/bin/perl /var/crash/1234/...'

Yeah, that's surprising that I only got it in cowbuilder but not (via
autopkgtest) in schroot.

My guess is more that cowbuilder redirects stdin, or something.

Please ping me when the giza bug is fixed and a new version is
available in the archive, I'm happy to continue trying then.
