I've just asked around, and putting non-Googlers on that address is going to expose you to bits and pieces that we don't want to, so we'll have to spin up a dedicated address for the Debian package and make that the maintainer address. Personally, I'd be happy with that being an Alioth address. Also, to achieve the desired outcome, can't you subscribe to the package in the PTS and BTS?
