At least upstream agrees with me that it is a normal bug, not just a wishlist (and this bug could yield failures in test suites, as pointed in the upstream bug report). I can check that 3.22.16-1 is fixed in Debian, but according to https://download.gnome.org/sources/gtk+/3.22/gtk+-3.22.6.news it was fixed in 3.22.6: 774784 Failed to get desktop session proxy is not an error! thus in the 3.22.6-1 Debian package.
