Package: squid-deb-proxy-client

Severity: serious

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package can cause problems
after upgrading from 'jessie' to 'stretch'.

If squid-deb-proxy-client is removed (but not purged) from jessie,
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/30autoproxy is left behind. This causes a warning in
jessie, but no failure:

  Failed to exec method /usr/share/squid-deb-proxy-client/apt-avahi-discover

But this is a failure in stretch. The 'apt-get dist-upgrade' from jessie
to stretch works fine, but any further apt opertion will fail, e.g.
installing a package (like squid-deb-proxy-client):

  Err:1 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch/main amd64
squid-deb-proxy-client all 0.8.14
Sub-process ProxyAutoDetect returned an error code (100)
  E: Failed to fetch
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/s/squid-deb-proxy/squid-deb-proxy-client_0.8.14_all.deb
Sub-process ProxyAutoDetect returned an error code (100)

cheers,

Andreas
