Terry's configuration actually does something slightly different, though. Your snippet turns on full font hinting; his not only does that, it also disables autohinting. (That can be omitted by cutting out part of his config, which is superior in abstract terms, but using it verbatim will have that result.) Some people may want to do both, others may only want to do one, and still others may want to do something different from both. Depending on exactly what font settings you had in place prior to the upgrade, that may require different configuration snippets. The information so far present in this bug mainly just points to where the configuration changes to revert the behavior need to be made and what format they need to be in, with hints about what settings are supported by the software. A comprehensive listing of possibly relevant configuration options for this is almost certainly out of scope. -- The Wanderer The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
