Package: xdg-utils Version: 1.1.1-1 Severity: important Dear maintainer,
currently it is impossible to use xdg-desktop-menu in Debian packaging because although most of the xdg-* scripts honor the XDG_DATA_DIRS variable, xdg-desktop-menu hard-codes gnome_global_dir="/usr/share/gnome/apps" without any way to override or move to a staging area. This is not goood ;-) All the best Norbert -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (200, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.12.0-rc7+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) xdg-utils depends on no packages.
