Hi Adrian, Thank you for this bug report. This problem and several other recent FTBFS issues you have identified appear to stem from an API change in a recent upload of plexus-interpolation [1]. The differences between 1.21 and 1.24, as generated with japi-compliance-checker, can be seen in [2]. All of these build failures have libmaven-assembly-plugin-java in common, and after a rebuild of libmaven-assembly-plugin-java against the newer libplexus-interpolation-java, I'm able to build libgettext-commons-java locally. Therefore, I'm going to reassign this bug and hopefully address it with an upload of maven-assembly.
