Package: gnome-volume-manager Version: 1.2.1-1 Severity: normal
Hello, gnome-volume-manager works correctly when plugging usb pen-drive, when unplugging it..., it correctly starts with my gnome session, etc. But: when starting my gnome session it ALSO mounts my hda1 hda5 (Windows) partitions (correctly configured in fstab), in my hard disk (hda). I find this behaviour somewhat extrange, as my IDE hard disk is not a removable device. I admit it may be nice under some circumstances, but not my case: in fact, I just want my Windows partitions to be mounted manually only (e.g. don't want to run "find / -name " command on them). Not sure if this "bug" should apply to pmount, instead of g-v-m, but I have run g-v-m from console and it seems to be responsible for this undesireable mounts. For instance, I get these lines when starting g-v-m from console: manager.c/1151: mount_all: mounting /dev/hda1 (...) manager.c/1151: mount_all: mounting /dev/hda5 (...) Apparently, g-v-m tries to mount EVERYTHING by default ? I still want my usb stick to be mounted automatically, so disabling automounting checkboxes in gnome-volume-properties menu is not valid for me. At least, it would be good to provide a "blacklist.conf" file so you can specify which devices you don't want to be auto-mounted. Again, not sure if this should apply to g-v-m or pmount.
