1. Start up HexChat 2. Add a client command like "me %u" to the server on connect tab. 3. Restart HexChat - You will notice that some commands that use nickserv fire off before fully identifing with the network. A good example would be "join #debian" would fire before your hostmask has been properly identified. 4.
