NAME line from man page, "dump - ext2/3/4 filesystem backup". The Debian package description should mention it works for ext3 and ext4. Generally "bsd" is all capital letters, as each is standing for a word of a proper name. `restore`'s behavior no longer matches the traditional 4.4BSD restore. The original 4.4BSD restore overwrote the "new" filesystem with an image of the old filesystem, thereby reusing old i-node numbers.
