Package: xfce4-sensors-plugin Version: 1.2.6-1+b1 Followup-For: Bug #795385
Dear Maintainer, Hi I'm not sure whether this information belongs with this bug report or whether I should reopen 670046 [1] and 685832 [2], given that the setuid dialog for hddtemp warning still occurs in stretch and buster. I have also tried a local package build including the build-dep on netcat, as suggested in #685832, but that doesn't change anything. When I look at the upstream bug [3], it doesn't appear that the setuid issue was fixed, only that the notification was changed to only occur once. Is there an option aside from setuid? Or is there some debugging information that I can provide to help track down the issue? It's trivially reproducible. Thank you, tony [1] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=670046 [2] https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=685832 [3] https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4142 -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages xfce4-sensors-plugin depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.22.0-1 ii libc6 2.24-12 ii libcairo2 1.14.8-1 ii libfontconfig1 2.11.0-6.7+b1 ii libfreetype6 2.6.3-3.2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.5-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-2 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.31-2 ii libnotify4 0.7.7-2 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libpangoft2-1.0-0 1.40.5-1 ii libsensors4 1:3.4.0-4 ii libxfce4ui-1-0 4.12.1-2 ii libxfce4util7 4.12.1-3 ii xfce4-panel 4.12.1-2 Versions of packages xfce4-sensors-plugin recommends: ii hddtemp 0.3-beta15-52+b1 ii lm-sensors 1:3.4.0-4 Versions of packages xfce4-sensors-plugin suggests: ii xsensors 0.70-3+b1 -- no debconf information
