Package: splint Version: 3.1.1-4.1 Severity: important Justification: 9.9: requires manual environment variable setting I'm leaving this at "important" only because I haven't confirmed it
The splint manpage has some problems: Line 3 is just: " ." lint(1).: should have spaces after the period The AUTHOR section is completely broken. While you're at it, lint(1) isn't included in debian, so you might as well drop SEE ALSO. The footer has "A tool for statically checking C programs", but that kind of thing isn't in any other manpage I can remember. Also, neither linux.html nor README contain anything that shouldn't be in ./debian/copyright; IMO it should be removed. The copyright file doesn't list the copyright holders; (probably, the same as the upstream authors), and seems to confuse license and copyright. Please see: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=290172 The env.sh shouldn't be necessary. Please make splint work with useful defaults. This is a violation of policy 9.9: "A program must not depend on environment variables to get reasonable defaults." If you need help, then please ask, and I'll see what I can do. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
