I tried to drag from konqueror to kate. When retrying now, that the target seems to get dropped, but not at the application visible in the pane (i.e. the "topmost"), the file:/.. entries in this mail resulted from me trying to drop to a konqueror window! This mail edit window was in the same pane. I have confirmed that if only one window is in the target pane drag'n drop works. For more windows I can't find the pattern which of the windows is choosen as target.
