This is https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=849823 but it was found too late in the release cycle to be included in Stretch. You should be able to edit this folder using xfce4-settings-editor (look in the xfce4-desktop channel and properties named “image-path” for the relevant monitor). > * the package xfce4-artwork disappeared Yes.
