I noticed that spooles fails to cross build from source, because it fails finding -lmpi. It turns out that even though libopenmpi-dev is depended upon, it cannot be linked, because libopenmpi-dev is wrongly marked Multi-Arch: foreign. As such dependencies on libopenmpi-dev can be fulfilled with an arbitrary instance of libopenmpi-dev an in general, linking will fail. Please remove Multi-Arch: foreign as soon as possible. Helmut
