Package: spamassassin Version: 3.4.1-7 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Last night I ran `aptitude safe-upgrade -y` to upgrade my system. After it ran, spamassassin was upgraded but the spamd daemon was stopped leading to lots of spam in my and my user's inboxes when I noticed it this morning. I noticed this in the changelog: * Ensure that spamd doesn't automatically start upon initial installation. I'm thinking maybe that logic has a problem and that is why spamd didn't start after the upgrade? -David -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages spamassassin depends on: ii adduser 3.115 ii curl 7.52.1-5 ii init-system-helpers 1.48 ii libhtml-parser-perl 3.72-3 ii libhttp-date-perl 6.02-1 ii libmail-dkim-perl 0.40-1 ii libnet-dns-perl 1.07-1 ii libnetaddr-ip-perl 4.079+dfsg-1+b1 ii libsocket6-perl 0.27-1+b1 ii libsys-hostname-long-perl 1.5-1 ii libwww-perl 6.15-1 ii lsb-base 9.20161125 ii perl 5.24.1-3 ii perl-modules-5.24 [libarchive-tar-perl] 5.24.1-3 ii w3m 0.5.3-34 Versions of packages spamassassin recommends: ii gnupg 2.1.18-6 ii libio-socket-inet6-perl 2.72-2 ii libmail-spf-perl 2.9.0-4 ii libperl5.24 [libsys-syslog-perl] 5.24.1-3 pn sa-compile <none> ii spamc 3.4.1-7 Versions of packages spamassassin suggests: ii libdbi-perl 1.636-1+b1 pn libencode-detect-perl <none> pn libgeo-ip-perl <none> ii libio-socket-ssl-perl 2.044-1 pn libnet-patricia-perl <none> ii libperl5.24 [libcompress-zlib-perl] 5.24.1-3 ii pyzor 1:1.0.0-2 pn razor <none> -- Configuration Files: /etc/default/spamassassin changed [not included] /etc/spamassassin/init.pre changed [not included] /etc/spamassassin/local.cf changed [not included] -- debconf information: spamassassin/upgrade/cancel: Continue spamassassin/upgrade/2.42: No spamassassin/upgrade/2.42u: No spamassassin/upgrade/2.40w: spamassassin/upgrade/2.42m: No spamassassin/upgrade/2.40:
