Package: bareos-director Version: 16.2.4-3 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
after upgrading from jessie to stretch, cron reports the following message: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate: error: Ignoring bareos-dir because of bad file mode - must be 0644 or 0444. The permissions of /etc/logrotate.d/bareos-dir are wrong: $ ls -l /etc/logrotate.d/bareos-dir -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 333 Jan 8 18:36 /etc/logrotate.d/bareos-dir Seems that permissions of many files in /etc of all bareos packages have an extra +x permission, e.g.: # ls -l bareos-fd.d/director/ total 8 -rwxr-x--- 1 bareos bareos 170 Jun 16 13:38 bareos-dir.conf -rwxr-x--- 1 bareos bareos 214 Jun 16 13:38 bareos-mon.conf # ls -l bareos-sd.d/storage/ total 4 -rwxr-x--- 1 bareos bareos 397 Jun 16 13:39 bareos-sd.conf # ls -l bareos-dir.d/profile/ total 4 -rwxr-x--- 1 bareos bareos 459 Jun 16 13:22 operator.conf BTW. I had to change /etc/init.d/bareos-dir because it attempts to check /etc/bareos/bareos-dir.conf on start. This file should not exist with the new bareos directory-based configuration - so it displays misleading errors but then starts successfully. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sk_SK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages bareos-director depends on: ii adduser 3.115 ii bareos-common 16.2.4-3 ii bareos-database-common 16.2.4-3 ii bareos-database-tools 16.2.4-3 ii bsd-mailx [mailx] 8.1.2-0.20160123cvs-4 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.61 ii init-system-helpers 1.48 ii libacl1 2.2.52-3+b1 ii libc6 2.24-11 ii libcap2 1:2.25-1 ii libgcc1 1:6.3.0-18 ii libgnutls30 3.5.8-5 ii libjansson4 2.9-1 ii liblzo2-2 2.08-1.2+b2 ii libstdc++6 6.3.0-18 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-26 ii lsb-base 9.20161125 ii lsof 4.89+dfsg-0.1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 Versions of packages bareos-director recommends: ii logrotate 3.11.0-0.1 bareos-director suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/init.d/bareos-dir changed [not included] -- no debconf information
