Thanks for the suggestion. More generically, I believe (also from our brief conversation about this on irc) that your suggestion is for licensecheck to not only gather file-specific metadata from sourcecode (copyright holders, years, licenses) as done currently, but additionally to gather project-wide metadata (name, description, Homepage) from files like package.json (for npm-distributed projects). Do I understand that correctly?
