Package: texlive-fonts-extra Severity: important
Hallo, under Jessie I can successfully build the following LaTeX file: \documentclass{article} \usepackage{yfonts} \begin{document} \yinipar{T}est \end{document} since texlive-fonts-extra (2014.20141024-1) contains: $ dpkg -S /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/fonts/tfm/public/gothic/yinitas.tfm texlive-fonts-extra: /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/fonts/tfm/public/gothic/yinitas.tfm Under Stretch texlive-fonts-extra (2016.20170123-5) that file is missing and so the following happens: $ pdflatex initiale.tex This is pdfTeX, Version 3.14159265-2.6-1.40.17 (TeX Live 2016/Debian) (preloaded format=pdflatex) restricted \write18 enabled. entering extended mode (./initiale.tex LaTeX2e <2017/01/01> patch level 3 Babel <3.9r> and hyphenation patterns for 18 language(s) loaded. Emergency stop. <*> ...=ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input yinitas Transcript written on mfput.log. grep: yinitas.log: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden mktextfm: `mf-nowin -progname=mf \mode:=ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input yinitas' failed to make yinitas.tfm. kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log. ! Font U/yinitas/m/n/10=yinitas not loadable: Metric (TFM) file not found. <to be read again> relax l.5 \yinipar{T} est ? The file missfont.log is created containing: mktextfm yinitas I have checked apt-file search yinitas.tfm which remains empty so it seems it was not moved somewhere else. In other words: The style texlive-fonts-extra: /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist/tex/latex/yfonts/yfonts.sty is non-functional due to missing yinitas.tfm. Is this file missing by accident (if yes, please re-add it) and if it was removed intentionally please document it and remove the style file as well. Kind regards and thanks for maintaining texlive-fonts-extra Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.8 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages texlive-fonts-extra depends on: ii dpkg 1.17.27 pn fonts-cabin <none> pn fonts-comfortaa <none> pn fonts-crosextra-caladea <none> pn fonts-crosextra-carlito <none> ii fonts-dejavu-core 2.34-1 pn fonts-dejavu-extra <none> ii fonts-droid 1:4.4.4r2-6 pn fonts-ebgaramond <none> pn fonts-ebgaramond-extra <none> pn fonts-font-awesome <none> pn fonts-freefont-otf <none> pn fonts-freefont-ttf <none> pn fonts-gfs-artemisia <none> pn fonts-gfs-complutum <none> pn fonts-gfs-didot <none> pn fonts-gfs-neohellenic <none> pn fonts-gfs-olga <none> pn fonts-gfs-solomos <none> pn fonts-inconsolata <none> pn fonts-junicode <none> pn fonts-lato <none> pn fonts-linuxlibertine <none> pn fonts-lobstertwo <none> pn fonts-oflb-asana-math <none> pn fonts-sil-gentium <none> pn fonts-sil-gentium-basic <none> pn fonts-stix <none> pn tex-common <none> pn texlive-base <none> pn ttf-adf-accanthis <none> pn ttf-adf-gillius <none> pn ttf-adf-universalis <none> Versions of packages texlive-fonts-extra recommends: pn texlive-fonts-extra-doc <none> pn texlive-latex-extra <none> Versions of packages texlive-fonts-extra suggests: pn cm-super <none>
