Package: mate-desktop-environment Version: 1.16.0+1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I am running debian-stretch, a fresh install, with mate desktop environment. I use the programs simplescan for scanning and sylpheed as an email client. I scan a paper with simplescan. Then, in simplescan menubar, I click on File -> Email. That opens the preferred emailer application (which is sylpheed) with a compose window. The attachment does not appear in the compose window. Expected behaviour: Scanned paper appears as an Attachment in mailer's compose window. I have tracked down the problem so far: simplescan creates a temporary file, a pdf that should be the attachment (works) simplescan calls xdg-email, with a parameter defining the attachment (works) xdg-email calls gvfs-open mailto.... sylpheed's compose window opens but does not show the attachment. Where the problem does not occur: simplescan + sylpheed + xfce simplescan + claws-mail + xfce simplescan + claws-mail + mate Best wishes, Daniel Auth -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages mate-desktop-environment depends on: ii mate-desktop-environment-core 1.16.0+1 Versions of packages mate-desktop-environment recommends: ii atril 1.16.1-2 ii desktop-base 9.0.2 ii engrampa 1.16.0-2 ii eom 1.16.0-2 ii ffmpegthumbnailer 2.1.1-0.1+b3 ii galculator 2.1.4-1+b1 ii mate-applets 1.16.0-1 ii mate-icon-theme-faenza 1.16.0+dfsg1-2 ii mate-media 1.16.0-1 ii mate-notification-daemon 1.16.1-1 ii mate-power-manager 1.16.2-1 ii mate-screensaver 1.16.1-1 ii mate-system-monitor 1.16.0-2 ii mate-user-guide 1.16.0-1 ii mate-utils 1.16.0-1 ii pluma 1.16.1-1 Versions of packages mate-desktop-environment suggests: ii network-manager-gnome 1.4.4-1 ii sylpheed [mail-reader] 3.5.1-2+b1 pn x-www-browser | iceweasel <none> -- no debconf information
