Dear maintainer, I found the documented approach highly non-intuitive
since it is inconsistent with the rest of packages: if one installs any
other Elisp program from the Debian repository, it does add itself to
pan-system ‘load-path’ without any configuration on user level.

Also, the current method implies that org modules from ‘contrib’ would
not be byte-compiled.

If the reason behind that was in concerns of driving user to confuse
third party modules with ‘org-mode’ proper, then, I believe, it would be
best to package files from ‘contrib’ separately (under the name
‘org-mode-contrib’ for instance) and made that package subject of all
installation procedures.
