Source: prometheus-alertmanager Version: 0.5.1+ds-7+b2 Severity: normal Due to upstream bug
https://github.com/prometheus/alertmanager/issues/582 It's not possible to start alertmanager on machines with no MAC address. e.g. machines with non-broadcast network interfaces such as those with point-to-point type network connections only, and many Linux container environments. This has already been fixed upstream, so it'd be good to backport this fix to the Debian package in Stretch. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing-debug APT policy: (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.11.0-rc8-drm-tip+ (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system)
