Sorry for the delay.. From the look at your logs it seems that all events are actually sent to hal and after reading the hal code somewhat more the warning seems quite strange. Can you run the hal package with the extra debug info again. But then also run hald manually as root with: hald --drop-privileges --verbose=yes --daemon=no And again, mail me the logs like you did the last time, but also the last part of the hald output (thus everything from the moment you plugged in your camera) Sjoerd -- One monk said to the other, "The fish has flopped out of the net!
