Source: nettle Severity: wishlist Please consider running the configure script with --enable-fat. It adds code to detect CPU features at runtime and use appropriate optimized crypto routines.
The feature was added to nettle 3.1, released in 2015. Upstream has a bit of an explanation here: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/info-gnu/2015-04/msg00002.html The feature's been out for a while but I don't know how much mainstream use it's seen. Turning it on in Debian might be the first real widespread use.
