It'll be a package with a bunch of 500-byte files (didn't you need other
.libretro files to genesis plus gx, snes9x and other cores?).
Example: gnome-apps-core-info, or whatever
Also, there is a repo for all these .libretro files right? It'll be much
easier updating one package instead lot of core packages. This is why I
created the libretro-core-info package. The .info files was in the core
packages in the old retroarch PPA, and it was a nightmare to update them.
Also, gnome complained about lack of standard in the retroarch .info
files... then in the package field you want to add the .libretro file in
the core package, when we already have a package with .info files, which
is retroarch dependency. So standard in the info files, but no standard
in the packages side? Not nice.

It sounds like you want a whole new package to avoid having a a 500-byte file.
