I also hit the same problem when trying to set the default search
engine with:
pref("browser.search.defaultenginename", "Qwant");The correct value appears in about:config but is not effective. Contrary to last message from Vladimir Mokrozub, using lockPref() does not work either. Regards, Yvan Masson
