It is sometimes desirable to have firefox start as a new process, yet by default it insists on telling any existing firefox on the same X display to open a new window. It is possible to change this by setting the MOZ_NO_REMOTE environment variable, but this is, AFAIK, completely undocumented and obscure. Since debian wraps firefox startup in a script, it would be handy to have that script provide that possible functionality, e.g. by adding a -noremote flag.
