Package: git
Version: 1:2.12.2+next.20170324-1
Severity: normal

Given a git checkout with two or more changed files, a

    git diff --word-diff

uses the "word-diff" option only on the first file (which is correctly
processed and highlighted in red and green). Subsequent files are displayed
with the usual +- unified diff notation, and not highlighted any more.

Same problem arises when used with "--cached".
