For better cross platform drop extra fields, think max 2GB archive size: -X --no-extra Do not save extra file attributes (Extended Attributes on OS/2, uid/gid and file times on Unix). The zip format uses extra fields to include additional information for each entry. Some extra fields are specific to particular systems while others are applicable to all systems. Normally when zip reads entries from an existing archive, it reads the extra fields it knows, strips the rest, and adds the extra fields applicable to that system. With -X, zip strips all old fields and only includes the Unicode and Zip64 extra fields (currently these two extra fields cannot be disabled). -s option for split -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (98, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.10.0-rc6-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages debian-reference depends on: ii debian-reference-en 2.65 Versions of packages debian-reference recommends: ii debian-reference-fr 2.65 ii debian-reference-it 2.65 ii debian-reference-ja 2.65 ii debian-reference-pt 2.65 ii debian-reference-zh-cn 2.65 ii debian-reference-zh-tw 2.65 debian-reference suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
