Thank you. I am not convinced this bug is fixed. I have unpacked the *.4ht files from directory texmf/tex/generic/tex4ht of the archive http://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/~gurari/TeX4ht/bugfixes.html into a separate directory. I have put the file test.tex also here (the file in the original bug report). The command line mk4ht xhmlatex test.tex "xhtml,frames" produces three files: test.html, test2.html and test3.html. All of these have XHTML 1.0 Frameset document types. I find the doctype of test.html OK but I expect test2.html and test3.html to have XHTML+MathML document types. Replacing xhmlatex in the above command line with mzlatex, xhlatex or htlatex produces correct document types.
