Package: sane Version: 1.0.14-12 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** I connected my USB Brother DPC-195C scanner and noticed it was not detected, running simple-scan : simple-scan asked to install additional brother software that was already installed (I'm used to install Brother printers and scanners, having already performed it many times with success on Debian Jessie). So I investigated more with scanimage -L : Scanimage -L output : No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). My scanner should have been listed in the output. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages sane depends on: ii libc6 2.24-9 ii libgimp2.0 2.8.18-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-1 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.31-2 ii libsane 1.0.25-3 sane recommends no packages.
