Package: imagemagick Version: 8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u8 Severity: normal ImageMagick doesn't understand files in JPEG-2000 format. Here is a terminal transcript:
bash$ ls -l --numeric-uid-gid x.jp2 -rw-r--r-- 1 1000 1000 4085014 Mar 22 11:51 x.jp2 bash$ file x.jp2 x.jp2: JPEG 2000 Part 1 (JP2) bash$ convert-im6 x.jp2 x.png convert: no decode delegate for this image format `JP2' @ error/constitute.c/ReadImage/501. convert: no images defined `x.png' @ error/convert.c/ConvertImageCommand/3210. bash$ ImageMagick used to understand JPEG-2000 files on the current machine, so once upon a time, the above `convert' command would have worked. The machine was upgraded from Debian 7 to Debian 8 a few months ago. That seems to be the cause of the problem. -- Package-specific info: ImageMagick program version --------------------------- animate: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org compare: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org convert: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org composite: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org conjure: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org display: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org identify: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org import: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org mogrify: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org montage: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org stream: ImageMagick 6.8.9-9 Q16 x86_64 2017-03-12 http://www.imagemagick.org -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_IE.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages imagemagick depends on: ii imagemagick-6.q16 8:6.8.9.9-5+deb8u8 imagemagick recommends no packages. imagemagick suggests no packages. -- no debconf information Sent with [ProtonMail](https://protonmail.com) Secure Email.
