Package: python-openstackclient Version: 3.2.1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
My /usr/bin/openstack is provided by python-openstackclient, via an alternative. The command has no manual page. When trying to get some help, I run it with --help. This is the output: $ openstack --help Auth plugin requires parameters which were not given: auth_url $ If I set the various OS_* environment variables, it works. I think it's surprising that you need to set up access to a server to get --help to work. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages python-openstackclient depends on: ii python-babel 2.3.4+dfsg.1-2 ii python-cinderclient 1:1.9.0-3 ii python-cliff 1.15.0-5 ii python-crypto 2.6.1-7 ii python-glanceclient 1:2.5.0-3 ii python-keyring 10.1-1 ii python-keystoneauth1 2.12.1-2 ii python-keystoneclient 1:3.2.0-4 ii python-neutronclient 1:6.0.0-2 ii python-novaclient 2:6.0.0-2 ii python-openstacksdk 0.9.5-2 ii python-os-client-config 1.16.0-1 ii python-osc-lib 1.1.0-2 ii python-oslo.config 1:3.17.0-3 ii python-oslo.i18n 3.9.0-3 ii python-oslo.serialization 2.13.0-2 ii python-oslo.utils 3.16.0-2 ii python-pbr 1.10.0-1 ii python-requests 2.12.4-1 ii python-six 1.10.0-3 ii python-stevedore 1.17.1-2 pn python2.7:any <none> pn python:any <none> python-openstackclient recommends no packages. python-openstackclient suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
