This bug report suggests optionally (and later, by default) using the Maintainer field from the control file in the changelog.
That seems less than useful in the common case where a package is team maintained and has something like this in its control file: Maintainer: Debian Install System Team <[email protected]> In fact, the lintina example given in the first mail in the bug report is just such an example, so I'm at a loss as to how that suggests that we should make it easier for maintainers to make that mistake. -- see shy jo
