This is the same as #791342. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=791342 Does changing if [ "$SHLVL" = 1 ] in ~/.bash_logout to if [ "$SHLVL" = 2 ] alter the behaviour? Cheers, Brian.
