Package: file
Version: 1:5.29-3
Severity: minor

file detects FITS files as 'FITS image data' but detects their MIME
type as application/octet-stream instead of application/fits and image/fits.
The difference between the two is documented on the IANA pages linked from the
below article. You can find some samples of FITS files by doing an apt-file
search for the .fits and .fts extensions.
