Hey, ancient report, I just got upstream to look through the bugreports though and got the notice that it seems to be a bug in torify and not irssi and it was suggested to give https://github.com/rofl0r/proxychains-ng a try for that.
Is it fine with you if I close this bugreport against irssi?
