Package: sane
Version: 1.0.13-2
Severity: important

I have been trying to get Gimp to load photos from a camera via
xscanimage. I can usually get a preview of one picture, but the next
preview will either fail to update the preview window or result in a
crash, as seen here:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ xscanimage
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid next size (normal): 0x0813ebf0 ***
Aborted
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ xscanimage
Segmentation fault
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ xscanimage
*** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x08142028 ***
Aborted

This makes it very difficult to select the correct image! "Scanning"
seems to be more reliable.
