Package: sane Version: 1.0.13-2 Severity: important I have been trying to get Gimp to load photos from a camera via xscanimage. I can usually get a preview of one picture, but the next preview will either fail to update the preview window or result in a crash, as seen here:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ xscanimage *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid next size (normal): 0x0813ebf0 *** Aborted [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ xscanimage Segmentation fault [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/tmp$ xscanimage *** glibc detected *** corrupted double-linked list: 0x08142028 *** Aborted This makes it very difficult to select the correct image! "Scanning" seems to be more reliable. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages sane depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.10.1-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.5-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgimp2.0 2.2.6-1 Libraries necessary to run the GIM ii libglib2.0-0 2.6.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.4-3.1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libieee1284-3 0.2.10-1 cross-platform library for paralle ii libjpeg62 6b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpango1.0-0 1.8.2-1 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsane 1.0.15-9 API library for scanners ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.10a-9.sarge.1 userspace USB programming library -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
