to reproduce the bug, first activate the "lock screen after" option in the xscreensaver-demo. Once the screensaver is activated and the screen is locked, the New Login button should move to the user selection screen. Instead, the button does not work, and the same user should unlock the screen. The following warning is displayed: gdmflexiserver:28051: WARNING **:Unable to create transient display. This seems to me a configuration/permission issue on Debian. Do you mind investigating?
