Some embedded systems (such as Exynos and IMX.6) offer capability to decode some video codecs with specialized HW units via the V4L2 M2M API. Gstreamer provides, since version 1.4, a v4l2videodec element to use this API in such platforms. To enable this feature this package has to be configured with the --enable-v4l2-probe flag. I wish, if it is possible, to have this flag enabled at least on the ARM (armel, armhf, arm64) platforms.
