Great, so changing the value in the <LAF> element ~/.pdfsam/config.xml to '0': ... <settings> <lookAndfeel> <LAF>0</LAF> ^ | ... fixes the crash. With this fix I'd keep pdfsam in stable, although it's outdated. Best, Philip
