Hi, First of all, Debian Stretch is frozen, so now is *not* a good time for upgrading the package. Second, upgrading to a new version is a bug of severity "wishlist" And also, I don't think the package maintainers of this package need this kind of request, they are perfectly aware of upstream activity, and upgrading the package *very* often, and have proven to be very reactive.
