Package: aide
Version: 0.10-11
Severity: minor

The regexp in aide.conf's debsums line:

 #/var/lib/dpkg/info/([^\.]+).md5sums u+g+s+m+md5+sha1

limits the pattern to only those filenames with no dots (other than the
one immediately before "md5sums").

It would appear that the regexp was designed to do exactly this, but I
can't work out why. The result is that aide ignores the md5sums files
of all packages whose names contain a dot (eg. as part of a minor
version number), which is not what I would have expected.
