Clicking on some links while using firefox-esr causes X to crash and desktop session to abruptly end. Clicking the "download patch" link here, for example, reproduces the problem: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/135036/ (the patch supposedly remedies the issue... gotta love the irony). Clicking that same link in Chromium does not cause a crash. Icedove has a similar issue, where X crashes sometimes immediately after I press the "Send" button. My package versions: firefox-esr 45.7.0esr-4 icedove 1:45.6.0-2 xorg 1:7.7+18 Whether the crash is caused by firefox-esr or icedove, the text console that shows up after X crashes shows this message: "glamor_picture.c:291: glamor_upload_picture_to_texture: Assertion `!pixmap_priv->fbo' failed. xinit: connection to x server lost". I'm not sure if this is an issue with mozilla applications or with xorg, so I also submitted a bug report to Debian's X team (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=856041).
