I'm a bit confused -- the version of libreswan in debian unstable
actually has no debconf questions. Upstream has a (stale, old) debian/
directory that they ship, which does have a bunch of debconf stuff, but
we do not use that at all in debian.

My goal for the debian package is to be configuration-free and automatic
wherever possible, with the ability for a knowledgable admin to take a
few simple and easy steps *after* package installation if they want to
convert from opportunistic modes into authenticated modes.

So i'm closing this bug report, because i don't think the translations
are meaningful to the current debian package.

i feel bad that you spent your time translating strings from upstream
that we don't need, though :/ I wish i could have done something
different so that your contributions to debian would have helped more
people.

Is there some way that i could improve the debian packaging (or could
encourage upstream to do) to make this kind of confusion less likely to
happen in the future?

thanks for your work localizing debian!

Regards,
