Package: pwgen Version: 2.07-1.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, pwgen should have a changelog of its own. Right now, the only thing it has in terms of documentation of changelog.Deban.gz which isn't exactly helpful, although it does some information.
Having a changelog makes it far easier to know what changes were done to the source package especially when you are getting newer upstream packages according to changelog.debian.gz . I am guessing with release tags in git it might be possible to take info. from git log and parse so there's a diff. in the changelog between v2.06 and v2.07 and beyond. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental'), (1, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages pwgen depends on: ii libc6 2.24-9 pwgen recommends no packages. pwgen suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal शिरीष अग्रवाल My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com EB80 462B 08E1 A0DE A73A 2C2F 9F3D C7A4 E1C4 D2D8
