o Please use our ftpsync script to mirror Debian.

Using ftpsync ensures updates are done in the correct order so apt
clients don't get confused. It also should produce correct trace
files that contain more information that is useful for us.

[This script should also work for mirroring Ubuntu.]

o The mirror does not delete old files.

Cheers,

Can we convince you to run our ftpsync script? Yes, it's a complicated
beast, but multi-stage rsyncs are required to avoid (or minimize)
clients getting errors if they fetch metainformation (such as package
lists) while the mirror upgrades.

You can find a copy at http://mirror.dataone.nl/debian/project/ftpsync/
or if you prefer git
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/mirror/archvsync.git/ as the links to
clone from.

Cheers,
